Stand Up for Please Be Seated, a Villagers Theatre Black Box Fundraiser!
Villagers Theatre, celebrating its 50th year of producing live theater in Somerset County, is making some updates to our facility and can use the help of our patrons.
“We have had the same chairs in the Black Box Theatre for more than 20 years,” says Donna Kimberlin, Villagers Theatre Trustee and Executive Producer of Theatre Arts. “After two decades of being used for performances ranging from children’s theater to cutting-edge productions, the existing chairs are now held together with tape!”
To raise funds, Jaime Moritz and Howard Whitmore have assembled a cast of some of Villagers’ favorite performers, old and new, to present an evening of comedy, Please . . . Be Seated. All proceeds from this event will go toward the purchase of one hundred new chairs to replace the worn out seats currently being used.
For one weekend only, starring: Stephanie Bussiere, Matthew DiCarlo, Regina Donaldson, James Fiorello, Ali Gleason, Barbara Gurskey, Devin Hall, Leslie Hochman, Jillian Kimberlin, Alex Klein, Ellie MacPherson, Michael Miquel, Katie Mott, Kristen Seggio, Eric Walby and Howard Whitmore. With special guest appearances by Donna Kimberlin.
Donating a Chair includes a free ticket to the performance, your name on a commemorative plague in the Black Theatre and a champagne reception with the cast following the performance, see the show for a donation of $15 or just make a small donation for our cause.
