AUDITIONS!! We are ecstatic to announce auditions for our January Blackbox production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream: A Dance Theatre Production!
This immersive reimagining of Shakespeare’s *A Midsummer Night’s Dream* fuses dynamic choreography with the timeless text, creating a spellbinding experience that draws the audience into the heart of the forest!
WHEN: October 15th and 16th beginning PROMPTLY at 7:00 PM (auditionees are encouraged to arrive early and be ready to begin at 7:00 PM)
Callbacks will be October 17th (Invitation only) SHOW DATES: January 17th, 18th, 19th, 24th, 25th, and 26th
WHAT TO PREPARE: We will start with a group movement call, and we will have sides from the script to read. No need to prepare any material ahead of time, but come dressed to move and roll around on the floor (and have fun)!
We are seeking versatile performers with strong dance technique, theatricality, and a flair for storytelling through movement. Musicians are also encouraged to audition, as we aim to incorporate live, atmospheric soundscapes into the production.
This production will explore both classical and contemporary dance styles, blending fluidity and precision with the mischievous spirit of Shakespeare’s beloved comedy.
