Once upon a time…Stephen Sondheim spun this Tony Award-winning musical.

A seamless fusion of fractured fairy tales, Into the Woods follows a baker and his wife on their quest to remove a witch’s curse that has left them childless. Encounters with an ambivalent Cinderella, an aggressive Red Ridinghood, rebellious Rapunzel, too-trusting Jack, and a couple of not so princely Princes, lead the baker and his wife to the objects the witch has demanded as payment before she lifts the curse.

In this irreverent fantasy the road to “happily ever after” is often difficult, and the lessons learned and lived along the way can be harsh, yet ultimately enlightening.
