Hollywood Ending, by Joe Sutton

Abigail Heskle, studio chief of one of Hollywood’s legacy studios, has had a string of catastrophic bombs, and her NY overlords are about to come out and fire her. Unless, that is, she can come up with a career-saving idea. Her idea? To make a Marvel-style movie around the QAnon conspiracy! Screwball comedy at its best!

Joe Sutton’s plays include Voir Dire (nominated for the Pulitzer Prize and the Best Play Award of the American Theatre Critics Association), As It is in Heaven, The Winner, The Third Army, and Restoring the Sun. U.S. theatres producing Joe’s plays include New York Theater Workshop, BAM, Long Wharf, Seattle Rep, Arena Stage, the Cleveland Playhouse, and the Old Globe. Internationally, Joe’s plays have been produced throughout Europe (Germany, Czechia, Greece, Turkey), as well as by London’s historic “Old Vic”. Joe is a recipient of numerous awards and honors, among them fellowships from the New York Foundation for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts. He lives in West Orange.
